Goodbye Sage 50 Accounts Perpetual Licences
As of the 1st May 2017, Sage are no longer offering perpetual licences for the Sage 50 range of software.
As of this date customers wishing to upgrade, or purchase software as new, will be offered a Sage Subscription contract.
If you have a Sage perpetual licence (in particular if you are on an older version with no SageCover), please read on and contact us to discuss the best option for you.
If you are not sure what type of licence you have, just contact us with your serial number and we’ll let you know.
These changes affect the following products:
- Sage 50 Essentials (formerly Sage Instant Accounts)
- Sage 50 Accounts
- Sage 50 Accounts Plus
- Sage 50 Accounts Professional
- SageCover Online / Extra / Premium (where clients don’t have an existing contract in place)
Want to upgrade to Sage 50c?
We offer competitive rates on upgrades, so please feel free to get in touch if you would like a quote. The current version of Sage is v24 to learn more about this version please click or tap here.
If you already have a Sage subscription or SageCover contract, there is nothing to worry about, but you may want to find out more about the new release of Sage 50, called Sage 50c.
End Of Life – Withdrawal of Support
We are aware that a number of clients have a letter from Sage to state support on their 2015 version is starting to be withdrawn from 1st March 2017
The support withdrawal periods are detailed below:
Sage 50 2013 (v19) – became unsupported from 31st January 2017
Sage 50 2014 (v20) – unsupported as of 31st March 2017
Sage 50 2015 (v21) – support begins to be withdrawn from 1st March 2017
(We believe V21 will be unsupported by the end of March 2018)
If you are unsupported it will cause data problems and possibly compatibility issues with 3rd party software updates.
